Dr Genadijus Sokovolas is once again visiting the Terrapins and we are proud to announce his upcoming stroke analysis program. Dr. “G” is widely considered the preeminent authority on stroke technique and analysis in the world, having conducted thousands of underwater video analysis with the world’s best swimmers.
His testing protocol is one of a kind and can help swimmers pinpoint micro and macro areas in their stroke technique that can be corrected for maximum speed and power. Swimmers will be video taped underwater while connected to a tensiometer which will detail stroke power through out the entire stroke cycle. Swimmers will then get a personal pool side analysis of the results of their testing and provided drills and techniques to correct any mistakes.
This program is open to all area swimmers 10 years and older who are competitive swimmers. This includes year round, summer league, High School and Masters swimmers. Participants may register online at the Terrapins website and sign up for 1 to 4 stroke sessions. Each session is 15 minutes long and costs 70.00. If you wish to have 1 stroke of your choice analyzed you would sign up for 1 session, 2 strokes would be 2 sessions and so on.
To register go to the Terrapins website at terrapinswim.com and register online for the GST testing. You will select your specific days and session times based on how many strokes you wish to have analyzed. There are no refunds for missed times and please arrive 15-20 minutes early to prepare for your session(s). Sessions times are estimates could run 15-30 minutes late depending on previous tests. Swimmers should have their suits, towels and parkas or warm clothes with them to put on quickly after video taping at pool side.
